The Really Real

I watched an interview with Barbara Brown Taylor once (actually more like 25 times) in which she described God as "the Really Real". Her words struck something in the core of me. Those words seemed to be very true. I feel drawn to the Really Real : the most authentic, the unfluffed, unfettered experience possible. In my formative years I spent much of my time in denial. I denied my feelings, denied my thoughts, denied my body, and ultimately denied my humanity. One thing I am becoming clear about now is that I am human, and so my "really real" is a fully human life, letting God take on the God version of "Really Real" (insert huge exhale here). I wonder what this looks like? For now it feels like curiosity...about me, about others, about you, about earth, about...everything.
